IndustriesDirect-to-Patient
Maintenance fills and cold chain GLP-1s in one operation.
Direct-to-patient fulfillment brings its own challenges: form-factor standardization, high sustained volume, and, with the rise of direct-to-patient GLP-1 drugs, the need for cold chain support. RoboPharma manages all of it.
The RoboPharma difference
One platform, every fulfillment model
Mail order, specialty and single-category fulfillment run on the same platform as central fill, so adding a fulfillment model is a configuration rather than another build. Multi-tenant fulfillment is there when the model calls for it, with data isolation and configurable rules so one facility can fill for many pharmacy customers.
New Build
A new facility, designed around the automation rather than retrofitted to it. Floor plan, throughput model, and staffing plan built together.

An existing mail order or central fill operation adding direct-to-patient, or a single-category build that has outgrown what it started on. Modular architecture expands capacity without interrupting the operation you are already running.

Patient-ready packages at line speed
Unit-of-use dispensing feeds the same conveyed line as vials, ambient and refrigerated, so every patient order collates into one shipment.

Serving enterprise needs
Finance. Operations. Compliance. IT.
Finance & ROI
Up to 3.5 scripts per square foot, with automation of up to 80 percent of unit-of-use dispensing. Capacity is added as configuration rather than as another capital project, so a single-category operation is not paying for a full formulary it does not fill.
Operations & throughput
Unit of Use dispenses up to 10,800 packages per hour and stores up to 18,900 packages per cabinet. Cold chain runs in 2 to 8 C rooms on customer-supplied refrigeration.
Regulatory & compliance
DSCSA serialization and recall search by NDC or lot, inside the system of record rather than bolted onto it. Inherited, remote, and manual PV2, matched to what each State Board of Pharmacy allows.
IT & integration
One platform from order intake through shipment, connected to pharmacy, financial, and shipping and manifest systems. Real-time perpetual inventory and automatic order routing across fulfillment models.
Questions
Direct-to-patient FAQ
How is central fill different from mail order?
Both use centralized, automated fulfillment. The difference is where the prescription goes. In central fill it ships back to a pharmacy where the patient collects it. In mail order it ships directly to the patient. RoboPharma and Axona support both on the same platform.
Can the system handle cold chain medications?
Yes. Unit-of-use automation is cold-chain ready and handles temperature-sensitive items, including GLP-1 medications, at 2 to 8 °C.
